    Success Story: FoRR Reuse

The ForRR project funded in the 3rd Training Open Call resulted in two e-learning courses for biomedical students and professionals!

The ForRR (Fundamentals of Reproducible Research E-learning ) project funded through the EOSC-Life 3rd Training Open Call generated two (2) e-learning courses on “Fundamentals of Responsible Research” in the area of translational research, one designed for biomedical PhD students and one for professionals. This type of research translates research ideas into medical benefits for patients and society, involving researchers from many disciplines who take diverse scientific approaches. Since human health is involved, this research needs to be carried out responsibly and reproducibly.

The project was carried out by the training team at EATRIS, the Charité teams at BIA (BIH Biomedical Innovation Academy) and the QUEST Center for Responsible Research.

These training enthusiasts collected e-learning materials on responsible and translational research (e.g. proper experimental design, statistical analysis, methodological transparency and ethical research), then adapted and packaged them to address the respective training needs of PhD students and professionals.

EATRIS created an e-learning targeted to Translational Researchers called “Robust Research for Translational Medicine”, basing this on the BIH QUEST course “Fundamentals of Responsible Research, FoRR”.

Meanwhile, QUEST used materials from EATRIS’ e-learning “Introduction to Translational Medicine” to complement their course tailored to medical and PhD Students.
